Sunny day kids

Kids came by for a little while and I had these
cute sunglasses from Target for them.
How come there is always one kid who has to
pose silly - - - - our family it seemed to be
Cory that did that.   Oh Well - we love them
anyway despite their sillyness.   

Putter Putter -( just to prove I got to ride it)

Dad had to get gas in the jeep and asked if I would like a ride.   (smooth roads are okay)
We went over on Pines and it was so fun.   He is
going to put some kind of a little door on I think -
the roll bar is going back on too - he just has to
modify it a little.   (I think this summer is going to be
a modify summer.)  It is a lot of fun.  
Come on over and take a ride.
We'll put a little seat in the back for passengers too!!

Wallpaper madness

This was our afternoon.  The living room had this
darkish red wallpaper that just had to come off.
We finally got some wet rags and wet it and then
scraped it and then used some gel to get rid of
the paste left on.   When it is all off and painted it will really look nice in there.  There was this wild
turkey that walked all through the back yard pecking at insects.   The other day when we were up there we saw two deer so it's going to be a very interesting
area to live.  The view from the living room windows down into the valley is beautiful at night. 

Kids

Avery was a little throw up sick this morning so he was home from school.   Erin and I worked like dogs
tearing wallpaper off the living room walls.
The kids were just playing and yelling and running
and having fun and a few arguements.  Just being
kids.  I asked them to sit on the front porch for one
second and smile.  This is it.

The Jeep

Dad says, tell the kids this is what I'm riding to church in.    So here it is and you have been told.
Is this a "mid-life crisis"????
After all, it was Mothers Day and I think I should
be the one in the Jeep, don't you???

We have a little wild bunny that comes into our yard.   I have been watching him as he eats the green weeds and grass.   I think he keeps checking to see if our garden has been planted yet - but it hasn't.  One day I came out the patio and he was sitting right there and then he ran off just a little ways and just stopped and watched me.  I put out a cauliflower
stem but I don't think he likes it.

Easter April 8, 2012

 We enjoyed a wonderful Easter dinner at Don and Donna's with Erin and family.  The kids
had their egg hunt and then we had ham and other good things to eat.  It was a wonderful day.  We started our day by attending Cory's ward at 9 am. to hear Grant give his "first"
talk in church on repentance.  He did a super job.  Then we did third hour at our ward and then I went to Erins ward to hear her sing in a trio - but didn't realize their ward started at 1 and I got there at 2:00. So disappointed.  However, Jer made a recording so I got to hear her song anyway,  "Consider the Lilies", which was really beautiful.
It would have been better in person and besides the primary children sang too.  Oh well.  I must be better at  remembering  when everyone's ward meets.   Came home and rested a bit then went to Donna's.  
Quite a busy Sunday but well worth it.  That's Dad's new Easter tie, by the way.

Easter Bunny

Erin and I took the kids to see the Easter bunny at the mall.
I think the picture turned out really great.  We went shopping a little bit and then upstairs to the candy store for a treat.

Handful of Hail

The Sandbox

Davis really wanted a sandbox for his birthday.  Papa said there was no other way but to make one with his help.   That's what they did on Friday.

Mindy and I worked on Friday putting things together for the party which was on Saturday.  She really had everything organized well and I thought the table looked spectacular and fun.  We made cupcakes and then the lego heads and blew up balloons and the porch decoration.  It was a really fun party for Davis.
