Gram's 102 Birthday party

This is a small video we took at Gram's 102 birthday party at Sullivan. She couldn't feed herself but she still really liked eating cake. What a sweatheart and dear mother.

My Asparagus Morning

Our Stake got a truck load of Asparagus yesterday so I have a 25lb box to do something with. Decided just freezing it so we have some for awhile to eat. I read that Washington state is one of the top growers of this vegetable - news to me. From the 25 lb. I got 15 quart and 3 gallon bags of asparagus. Yea, more food storage!!!!

My Tasting Man

Dad just came in the kitchen and I said "here, taste this". Course, he did. He's a good taste-tester guy.

The Dirt Sifter

Dad built a dirt sifter that will sift the big rocks out of the dirt for the raised garden bed. He was so excited he called me outside to watch it. He shovels some dirt onto the top of the sifter and turns on the motor and it shakes the dirt through the sifter. The rocks fall off the end and onto the ground- - - - ta dah - beautiful fine soil for his garden. He says it is much easier than when he did that whole process by hand. He has it about 1/2 done and planted the onions already. He took all of the old soil out and is putting in new in hopes things will grow better. Time will tell.

Saturday Evan and Davis drove here from Sandy. Evan felt up to going to the Parade so we called Erin and decided to all sit together. Mindy was photographing a wedding in Couer d"alene but the rest of us did the parade thing. The weather was perfect and the parade proved to be long, loud but really good.

Lilac Festival Float

A picture of this year's Lilac Festival float.

Sittin' and Waitin'

This is Avery and Jeremy and Erin and the boys. There was a brick wall with a parking lot in back of it. The perfect place to lay a blanket and spread out all your stuff for the parade. The hardest part was just waiting for it to start.

The Red Wagon

There were some people sitting in front of us that had this red wagon. The two boys loved it and we had a hard time keeping them out of it. I just snapped this real quick inbetween people walking by on the sidewalk.

Relaxing before the parade

Dad is reading awhile before the parade starts and look at his feet - No Shoes. Now that's really relaxing downtown!

In the Front Yard

Mindy and Davis were looking at something interesting in the grass and then Davis went over by the flagpole and he matched perfectly with the flag. The wind was blowing just enough to make it beautiful.

Davis, Monkey and Nana

One shoe on, One shoe off

Just sittin' on his bed waiting for a shoe. I think Davis did okay on the "closet bed" and he liked the Thomas Train sleeping bag. It was a first time for him to stay overnight.

To touch an angel

Davis wanted to see this figurine so I held it so he could touch the wings. Just looking wasn't as fun as really touching it.
