Crater Lake

Crater Lake pictures. It was a beautiful sunny day.  We were lucky because two days after that they had snow there.

We are on our way home.  We spent a day here and then drove to Madras for the night and then drove home the next day. Totally filled with wonderful moments together but a little eager to get home too.  We have seen some great parts of our country and I don't see any reason for taking a vacation overseas when we have so much to see and do right here in our back yard.   It was a fun trip without any accidents or mishaps - counting our blessings for that.   Dad is a good driver.

These are way past overdue.   This just shows how much fun our family can have when we are all
together.
The entrance to the campground and taken the morning we left for home.
This is the beautiful drive up to Mt. Hood where our campground was.  You can barely see Mt. Hood.

The morning we left we had to get just one more picture of the three of us together.

Davis got Papa good here.   I think he just lost his balance so he just kept falling until he hit the ground.  I think they were both laughing pretty good.

Papa really does like to hold these sweet babies. I didnt hear him sing any songs though.  You can see how tiny Evalee is compared to Papa's arm.

The China Hutch

Today, Saturday, Dad had a spare hour and was out working on the hutch.  I think this gives him some relaxation time away from company time to enjoy working with his hands.      He has big plans for the  hutch and I just let him take his time and do a little here and a little there.   Today we set
the front of the hutch onto the back part and nailed it down.  From here - it's a mystery to me.

A Little Mouse made this

This little hole was made by a mouse.  I didn't know it was there.  It evidently happened when
Grandma Wilma had this hutch or her mother.  We are going to leave it just where it is but it
will be covered on the inside.   It chewed it's way through oak wood and perhaps there was
food stored inside this hutch at the time.  We couldn't remember what Wilma used this for
if it was food or dishes but it was in her kitchen along with another cabinet that has an old
flour bin that Elinore has.  I wish I had a picture of her kitchen to remember what it was
like.  Dad is really enjoying doing the make-over during the short spans of spare time that
he has.

We had the Elders for dinner. Afterwards I asked if he would like to play the piano. He definitely did. This
missionary had a seiszure and a concusion and had forgotten all of the notes.  He had taken piano for 10 years and he is relearning the notes.  He played very well.  He is here waiting for his visa to go to Manus, Brazil. Don't we
just love our missionaries?   He has been out 6 days and this is his waiting ground for awhile. He is
from Gilbert Arizona - Elder Robinson  He also played" Come  Thy Fount"  from memory and
sang while he played.

Waiting for the parade to start.  It was so fun to see all the kids. Grant did a good job. I'm proud we have another band member
