We took a trip to Walla Walla to visit "Phil" a veterinarian and this is the horse Dad bought.
He just had to ride him in the field as soon as
we got him home. What do you think???
It's a Yamaha TW200 - only slightly used
and I'm sure will get used more now.
(He loves it)
We had a great weekend too.

Close up of the light
We are still deciding on which kind of bulb to use
which is why they are different. The cabinet
opens up with shelves and inside is all mirror too.

The Floor
Not sure why you want to see the floor - it's just ceramic tile.
It has heated cable underneath so in the winter we can turn on
the heat which has a thermostat on the wall. I love the
fact that everything is new though.

One More Picture
Dad installed the lights tonite and I put up the shower curtain.
I found a great picture at Bed /Bath to go in there but I am
debating which wall to hang it.

Leavenworth
Found this on Dad's camera. I think this
was in the spring of this year on our
way home from Seattle. We took a
carriage ride around the town.

One Step at a Time
The new bathtub. I can't wait until next week
when we get the walls up and tile and flooring
and vanity and mirror and lighting and potty and
mmmm I guess that's all.

New Bathtub
Oh My Gosh !! I actually got to take a bath tonite. I feel so heavenly good and clean. You can't begin to imagine what this week has been like. And then, to top it off, there was a leak in the pipe after they got
the tub installed. We had to turn off the house water yesterday and last night. Ugh. No potty and no water. How can life be so hard.
But, today we got it fixed and turned the water on. It works. I am clean. I feel blessed. Dad is
tired. And, we are really surviving the hard times around here.
Thank good ness for the trailer.
Good night.

Look What we Did
This is where the bathroom use to be. Jeff and
Charlie gutted the bathroom down to the studs.
We discovered the wall behind the tub was rotted out and needed to be replaced - thus you see no wall remaining. We are in a mess but it will be nice to have a new bathroom in the end.
The good news is I got a new cooking stove today for my upcoming birthday. It's a flat top Kenmore and I think I am going to love baking again.
Happy BD to ME!! Thanks Dad, I love you.
I will post the finished bathroom next week.

50th High School Reunion
Dad and I attended my 50th this weekend. I was a little apprehensive in going to the picnic on Friday.
It was held at Franklin Park in the pavillion area. Food was brought in by Longhorn - (actually Marilyn and
Tom did most of that food). Not really knowing many of the kids any more, I was just unsure of how it
would be but everyone was so friendly and each person was going around looking at the picture on your
name tag and then looking at you trying to remember who we all were. It was fun.
Saturday evening was the dinner over on Gonzaga campus in a dining hall. The food was very good and
the entertainment was spectacular - made just for us 50's kids. No drinking and just lots of visiting and
laughing. Our Principal - Mr. Rodkey came and he was quite a hit. Several of the" kids" wanted their
picture taken with him. He is in his 80's and tries to attend all the reunions from when he was principal.
We had about 340 when we graduated - 60 have since passed away. There was a moment of silence
for them before dinner. They also had a picture board with their names and pictures displayed. There
probably were 150 in attendance so that was a good amount. Course, there are some people that they
just don't have addresses for .
Dad said it was very different from what he thought it would be - and I was glad he had a good time.
They did a survey in the beginning of dinner - who came the furtherest (Australia) Who still lives
with 3 blocks of NC (Nick Frucci) and who has the most grandchildren (ME). I was surprised at that
When they came up to the number 14, all of my friends at our table pointed their fingers at me and said
"she has 14". Yikes! So I stood up and they clapped. I was very proud at that moment.
This weekend brought many happy memories back and seeing the NC alumni was so fun. I am glad
we went. If you get a chance, you need to try to attend your reunions. They really are fun.

North Central
The way North Central looked in my day.
1908-1980. Four stories of stairs to climb
every day.
Climbing Stairs — 1957
All of us who attended the “old” North Central remember the daily ritual of hiking up and down stairs in the four-story building. The “new” North Central in 1981 brought fewer stairs, as well as different clothing and hairstyles from those seen here in the fifties. The armload of books has long since been replaced by the backpack. As for the practice of boys carrying their girlfriends’ books between classes, that courtesy disappeared somewhere in the women’s liberation movement of the ’70s.

Reunion Dinner
My very best friend - Marilyn Tiffany. We would stand on the street corner between our two houses after school and talk for hours before heading home for the night. We had a fun little neighborhood band with NC kids that lived close to us. We would get together, mostly on weekends, and do a jam session. She married a fellow that played with us, Tom, and he is now Pres/CEO of PAML here in Spokane.

Emmaline
We saw this little girl last year and wanted her. So, Dad remembered her and bought it this summer. I had no idea what he had in mind for her but here she is, sitting in her water fountain and enjoying the birds who come with their families to take a dip and get a drink. I think it's a perfect place for her. I named her Emmaline (I love the name. It's after a little baby from our Campbell family who is buried in the Weston Cemetery )Hard Work and an achy back
Here is the water feature. I added a few flowers and it's almost done. Dad is working on the rock walkway to the left and digging a trench for all of the wiring/hoses to be hidden. I think he is hoping this is the last project of the season. (we'll see)
