Our Trip to Portland

The Playground

Here we are at the playground. It was a little misty/rainy but we sure had fun and laughed a lot.

Who can hang on the longest - - - -

I'm not sure who is the winner here but I can tell which one was hanging on the tightest.
Mindy, Evan and Davis at the playground. This is a really nice playground in a forested area and close to their apartment.
This picture was taken at a playground. This fellow was harnessing his Newfoundland dog to a cart. He did some obedience training first and then got him ready to harness. He takes his dogs to the hospitals nearby at Christmas and Easter to take the children there for rides in the cart.
We drove to a State Park on Saturday and it was just beautiful and green. This is Dad looking down at the river below.
This is actually after swimming and Mindy was getting Davis dressed and ready for bed. He was one tired little boy after swimming.

Swimming at the motel

Saturday evening we all went to the motel to swim and relax a little. I pretty much stayed in the hot tub. Davis loved the swimming pool and played with his little ball and Mindy and Evan.

The Big Load

This is loading day for Mindy and Evan. The U-Haul truck was big. Isis kept going into the truck and smelling everything and checking things out. She was very curious about what was going on this morning. I drove up to see how they were doing and most of their things were loaded already. This is one last picture by the Bridgeport house. It's sure been a useful little home for a long time. "If only Walls could talk"!!!!

One More Breakfast

Erin, Mindy and I (& Bodee) had a breakfast date - just one more time before Mindy moves.

THE TRACTOR RIDE

Papa J finally got the tractor started to give Davis a ride. It is one of the things papa can do to entertain the kids. Davis wasn't at all sure at first but because he could sit with Papa, it was okay. They did a few rounds in the back yard and then when papa saw Davis was okay, they headed out for the street run. I'm not sure who actually had the most fun!

Grandpa's still having fun digging and Mom is consoling Davis saying - see, the tractor Is Fun!

LUNCH AT NANA'S

This is Davis - Mindy's little 2 year old who is full of fun, love, hugs, kisses, sometimes tantrums, and mostly 100% energy. Mindy was having a lunch date with Evan and his company so Davis came to have lunch with me. It's a very choice time when grandsons come to have lunch. I learn so much from them and of course, expect so much of them too. We had lunch - nuggets, oranges, apples, cookies, crackers and a drink. We played clay, cars, watched Bob the Builder, read stories, puzzles - and anything else that is in the playroom. I am sure he didn't forget anything. Thanks for coming for lunch Davis. "Hugs and Kisses".
It's lunch time at Nana's. Time to pick out which color of plate and bowl and cup to eat from. It's a hard decision but - mmmmmmmmmmmmmI think I like PINK.
We are getting some Nuggets and oranges ready for lunch. It's hard just sitting and waiting.
Finally it's time to eat. Davis doesn't waste any time when there's food on the plate - even if it is PINK.
