A Little of This and a Little of That

This shows the crocheted edge.  It's not fancy but at least it is completed.  I felt good to have that
accomplished.

A picture for Finn

This is Papa J's mask.  He has to wear this at night when he goes to bed so he can breath better.
I thought Finn would like to see how Papa looks with his mask.   (Darth is his nickname)

The Sand Dunes

Jeremy invited the two grandpas to go with him and Avery motorcycle riding to the sand dunes by Pasco.  Dad jumped at the opportunity and was very excited for the invite.  They left early in the morning and came back around  8:30 pm.  A full day of riding plus 2 1/2 hours travel each way.
Not much there but sand and one tree.  Dad had
such a fun time being with the "guys"
for a day and getting to ride his motorcycle.
Thanks Jeremy for a fun day.

Happy Sewer

I am so, so excited to sew again.  Dad removed the old Singer from my cabinet and made a little shelf for the Brother and it fits perfectly.  Now it is even with the cabinet table top and works great.   Even, he made it so the knee peddle will work instead of having the foot peddle.  I spent yesterday sewing two pillowcases.  It's a new pattern that is so fun and makes it so there are no open seams inside.
I love getting the fabric and making these cases.   That's what I did yesterday while Dad went motocycling with Jeremy, Don and Avery.

Our New Missionary

What a wonderful night this was.   CJ was so nervous for this day and when it came time for his big moment he was even more nervous.   He opened the envelope and read his letter aloud - trying hard to keep his composure.  ( He and I were the only ones that cried)
I think he figured on Brazil but when he actually read the real words it finally stuck him that he had been called for sure.
Cory gave him a Father's Blessing afterwards and then we had cake for dessert.
I think he said there were 5 boys he knew that were already in Brazil and 8 from his stake.  They must have work to be done there.  His friend, JT, came over to support him.  JT is also going to Brazil.
We are so excited and thrilled for this young man.

Homeward Bound

A quick photo before Mindy and
Evan left for home.  It was a fun
time with these guys, even though
it was cold and snowy.  We all
endured just fine.   Thanks for
coming over to visit.

Scones and FHE

Scones and honey.  Nothin' better

Oh What a Beautiful Morning

It was so beautiful this morning that I was compelled to take these
pictures.  The snow has frozen to
everything and with the sun it just
made it like a winter wonderland.
It is to be about 4 below tonite so
this scene will continue for a
few more days.

Scott's a Deacon

Sunday Scott was ordained a Deacon by Cory.
This was taken just afterwards.  Nice thing was CJ was
able to stand in the circle this time.

Gingerbread Houses

Erin and the kids  came over to make some
graham cracker /gingerbread houses.
We are just starting our houses and it took all
night to finish.  They did a very good job with
them and Erin made one for Carli.

Thanks for coming over for dinner and an
activity.

An Overnight Guest

A door to door salesman dropped by last night and this kitty was following him.  She politely decided to stay at my house (can't imagine why) and spend the night.  She just meowed and meowed at the door until I couldn't stand it any longer.   I let her in!
I put a towel on the patio and she slept there until about 5 am and then started meowing.  So, here she is - very much at home.  Right now she is sleeping in Dad's computer chair while I am doing this blog.
He put a sign on the corner post - I hope I get a call today for her.   I think she is a house kitty and well taken care of.   If she were mine I would call her Muffin - but I can't be her Mom. (and don't you girls start begging to keep her)
