On our way to the airport, we and the girls decided to visit Gardner Village. It
is where a grist mill, mattress factory, broom factory, blacksmith shop and general store once existed. Today it is rebuilt into a restaurant and small shops. This is the original water wheel I think. Archibald Gardner was an immigrant from Scotland and had 11 wives and 48 children. It's a very fun place to wander around and look in the shops. It was a 90 degree day but it was fun anyway.

This looks like a very fun place to visit. Is it pretty new?
It actually opened with the restaurant in 1990. The Gardner Mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since then the owners have moved historic buildings to the property to re-create a village surrounding the historic Gardner Mill. Pioneers from all over came here in the early days to grind their grains. Vintage pioneer architecture, antique fixtures, red brick paths and bridges over a pond, create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for shopping, dining and discovering some of Utah's most colorful history.
I would like to go there again for sure.
